The Gull House sits facing the highway waiting for the arrival of the guests. The guests are typically outdoorsmen and anyone who just wants to take a break in the quiet countryside. The Albemarle Sound is just 2 miles away — a good walk for the kids or a leisurely stroll for the adults. Audrey and Earl are inside making last minute preparations for the new arrivals. There’s fresh coffee in the kitchen and the sound of birds is everywhere. Poplar Branch is a designated bird sanctuary, after all.
