I printed one of the houseghosts on canvas and mounted it on gatorboard in a couple different sizes. The point was to create a starting off point for more explorations of the image. It was a real struggle to get the smallest one to work — it’s 4.5 x 6 inches. Truly, it took a couple weeks to finish this tiny little thang. I kept wanting to throw it away or through the window.
Yesterday I spoke with another local painter who talked about how throwing a painting away sometimes is the right thing to do and that it’s a BIG relief. I couldn’t bring myself to do that. I keep investing time in it no matter what. Here’s HG2.4.
