About this painting

This painting evolved over several years. Originally, it was completed without the figure in the doorway and appeared in the Thresholds exhibition in 2011 as Wings. Over the past year, figures have been re-introducing themselves into my paintings after a ten year hiatus. Thanks to a conversation with Melissa “Sasi” Chambers and Carol Robinson, the houseghost has stepped into the picture.
