A bunch of paintings stacking up in my studio

A note to self from November 2014

“I’ve been painting almost every day for the past few weeks and things are starting to stack up. Here’s a view of the table top where the most recent paintings are being stored. It’s probably time to update my items for sale page or make a shipment to the gallery.

“Here’s a close up of the little painting called ‘Julie’ because it reminds me of Julie Andrews.”

And an update from May 2022

One of the joys in life is having the chance to rework a painting after sleeping on it for about eight years. That amount of time gives you a fantastic set of fresh eyes.

In the case of this little painting, the artistic license that I relied on in 2014 expired.

Photoshop Elements has more-than-ample tools for stretching, moving, isolating areas to recolor, redraw and experimenting with.

A few hours later

There are still some passages that could benefit from another pass, but I like what I’m seeing now. Check back in 2030, though, just in case I change my mind.
