Red Bubble does a great job of helping you visualize what Coco might look like in your space. Check it out!
There are lots and lots of applications and websites that tell you how your space — your office, your bedroom, your dorm — will look when you purchase a particular item. I particularly like the immersive virtual reality experience highlighted on the home redesign show Your Home Made Perfect.
But for those of us who don’t have easy access to virtual reality tools, there’s RedBubble’s views of images in a space. Their simple interface displays your selection and what it might look like — whether it be a framed piece or your favorite image printed on a shower curtain or tee shirt. Particularly useful, in my opinion, is the scale. when you view something online that says 8″ x 8″ or 48″ x 48″, it’s super helpful to have a visual depiction of those sizes on your screen. You can then make an informed decision.
Another one I like is ArtSteps. It takes some work to get it set up, but when it’s done you can virtually walk through the space and see what the object or image looks like in a 3D simulated room. Creating a free account is easy and adding images and sizing them is fun. You can share the art space with others and have a virtual exhibition.
